Three Step Delivery Process In Odoo
In Odoo Pick, Pack and Ship route for Product in Odoo ensures its quality while delivering a product to the customer. In the Three steps delivery process, Each stage quality of the products is reviewed by an authorized person of warehouse. These routes are managed in Odoo to review the status of the goods and Odoo uses routes to define how to handle the different receipt steps.
This blog gives an idea about the Odoo 13 three step delivery process.
In order to use this feature, User has to Enable multi-route option in the Inventory settings menu.
Inventory → Configuration → Settings
In Warehouse Section Enable Multi-Step Routes
Once you activate the Multi-Step Routes, It will also activate the Storage Locations.
Now go to Set Warehouse Routes OR Configuration → Warehouse Management → Warehouses
Select the Warehouse for which you want to use this feature
Incoming Shipments : Receive goods in input, then quality and then stock (3 steps)
Outgoing Shipments : Pack goods, send goods in output and then deliver (3 steps)
Once we Enable these options, Another 3 tabs Enabled in inventory Dashboard so once we create Sales Order it automatically moves the product to these steps.
Now let’s create a quotation in Sale and once you confirm the Quotation, You can see 3 Receipts for the delivery.
Once you click on Delivery, It will show transfers and currently the Pick route is ready and you can see in the inventory overview as well.

Once we validate the quantity of Pick stage, its status changes to done and the next route becomes in ready state.
After the Validating Pack stage, It will go to Delivery Order and You can see that two route operation done and Delivery Order stage is Ready.
Once Delivery order Or output gets validated, all of them changes to done in the status.
