Feed Menu

Odoo 17's Social Marketing module provides you with a central Feeds section. This gives you a quick snapshot of activity across all your connected social media platforms.

To add a new account, simply click the "Add Stream" button.  Odoo 17 supports popular platforms like Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, and YouTube, allowing you to manage them all from a single hub.

Are you wondering, how can you add a new stream to the social marketing module? Let's find out.

Let's add a Facebook page and a YouTube channel for example. You can select social media from the wizard and allow all permissions to connect the accounts. 

Once it is successfully connected, you can access insights from multiple platforms; the previous posts are listed in the feeds section, which provides a quick overview of each post, like post title, content, date, comments, likes, shares, and views, and so on. 

Odoo provides you with a “New Post” button to create new posts, and the “Sync” button for real-time sync between various social media platforms. You can easily manage the likes and comments from the post preview itself. 

You can add different filters, sort the posts, search posts by message, and group by options to filter as per your requirements. 

Post Menu

In the given menu, you can see all Odoo-created posts and create new posts using the “New” button. It allows you to manage posts as per posting status and social media accounts from the left side panel.

As you can see various stages of a post, like draft, schedule, posting, and posted. In this example, we have connected two social media accounts, a Facebook page, and a YouTube page channel. 

It has two sections, one for Facebook posts and the other for YouTube channels. If the “Posts on” check-boxes are checked, it means the post will be shared on both platforms. 

You can choose your required platforms. Then it will show the "Message" as a post title. In "Attach Images", you can easily upload the post image; For targeted marketing campaign efforts, Odoo allows you to assign this post to a specific campaign. You can either create a new campaign or choose from an existing one. 

The "when" field lets you control when your content goes live. Choose "Publish Now" for immediate posting, or select "Schedule Later" to pick a specific date and time for your post to appear.

For YouTube content, you can craft a catchy title,  write a detailed description (including paragraphs, hashtags, and mentions), and even set the video's privacy (public, unlisted, or private). Simply upload your video using the "YouTube Video" field. Once processing is complete, click "Post" to publish simultaneously to both platforms.

The Posts menu lets you monitor your social media performance. You can easily search for specific posts by message content, author, or associated campaign. Filter and group posts using various options to customize your view. 

Odoo supports Kanban boards, calendars, lists, and pivot tables, allowing you to visualize your data in the way that works best for you. The default view is kanban. 

Campaign Menu

The Campaigns menu lets you create strategic social media initiatives to promote events, programs, or special offers, ultimately attracting new customers to your business.

Here's how to create a campaign:

  • Give it a Name: Choose a clear and descriptive campaign name.

  • Assign a Lead: Select the person responsible for managing the campaign.

  • Organize with Tags: Add relevant tags for easy filtering and search later.

  • Define Stages (Optional): Click "+ Stage" to create custom stages that track your campaign's progress (e.g., "Draft," "Scheduled," "Live").

Configuration Menu

Go to the Configuration menu in Odoo 17 to manage your social media connections. This is where you can link your favorite platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, and YouTube, to Odoo. Simply click the "Link Account" button for the platform you want to connect to and follow the on-screen instructions.
